Rapid Wrong Fuel Solutions ("we", "us") collects personal information only to do the job you call us about. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
When you call, book online, or send us an enquiry, we collect:
- Contact details, your name, phone number and email address.
- Vehicle details, make, model, year, registration if you choose to share it.
- Job location, the address or rough location where the vehicle is.
- Payment details, handled by our card processor; we never store full card numbers.
- Communications, what you tell us in calls, texts or form submissions, kept for service quality and dispute resolution.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Dispatch a technician and complete the job.
- Send a tax invoice and service report.
- Follow up on the work, including warranty and quality checks.
- Comply with EPA disposal records and insurance reporting requirements.
- Improve the way we run the business (anonymised, in aggregate).
We don't use your information for unrelated marketing, and we don't sell it.
Who we share it with
We share information only with parties that help us deliver the service, and only what they need to do their part:
- Our card processor (for taking payment).
- Our accounting software (for tax and invoicing).
- EPA licensed waste handlers (for disposal records).
- Insurers and fleet managers, only when you ask us to liaise on a claim.
- Legal or regulatory bodies, where we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep service records for seven years to meet Australian tax and consumer law requirements. After that, records are securely deleted unless you ask us to retain them (for example, for ongoing fleet reporting).
Keeping your information secure
We use access controls, encrypted storage, and reputable Australian based providers for our customer database and accounting. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data as carefully as we treat the keys to your car.
Cookies and the website
Our website uses a small number of cookies for basic functionality (form session, theme, analytics in aggregate). We don't use third party advertising trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser; the booking form will still work.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information, where we're not legally required to keep it.
- Stop us contacting you, except about an active job.
Email privacy@rapidwrongfuelsolutions.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your information, contact us first using the email above. If we don't resolve it within 30 days, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. The date at the top tells you when. For material changes, we'll notify you by email if you're a current customer.
